Fake media and outraged bullshit

I have been a mostly left of centre type of chap who tended to take a 'progressive' few of the world but not exclusively. I have been a proper 'hater' of Trump (see an earlier blog entry of mine) and was so until that business in Charlottesville a few days ago. Nazis held a rally to protest the removal of Confederate monuments. The Anitifa mob, predictably, turned out in their hundreds to counter-protest. Fair enough. However, it was not enough for them to stand their holding hands and singing Kumbaya, no, they had to throw their weight around and try and stop the Nazis, or supremacists, exercising their 1st Amendment rights. Not only that but they were determined to provoke an encounter and, in that, they were very successful. Someone on the supremacist side lost their head and sadly killed someone with their vehicle and injured a bunch of others. Who can defend that? No-one and no-one did. Yet, according to the media, the violence was all on the part of the supremacists and that to believe otherwise was to be disingenuous to say the least. Trump condemned the Nazis but that was not enough for the media; he did not condemn them with enough passion. He did not get on his knees to suck progressive cock to show them he was truly on their side. Can I get a "Fuckpigs!"? So, yesterday day Trump says that both sides were equally to blame - a very reasonable and accurate statement. You can no doubt guess the response. Racist! Fascist! Nazi! Supremacist!! Of course, as we all know; only whites can be racist, only straight white men can be gender-haters and only white males on the right can be responsible for violent protests. Read that again. Have you ever read such absolute bollocks? And, of course, the media supports these viewpoints. So when Trump comes out with "fake news" I am only now starting to come around to his way of thinking.

The events in Charlottesville have opened my eyes to the hypocrisy and lies of those on the left, plus their intolerance of anyone who does not wholly support their beliefs and who tries to publically express their own beliefs.

I have had antipathy towards these special interest groups for some time but it is only these recent events that have allowed me to see clearly the lies and obfuscations delivered by the left with the overwhelming support of the media and, shockingly to me, a number of republicans too.

I give Trump his due, he has tried to be fair to both sides but has been eviscerated by the progressive media (which is most of it). Not trying to be dramatic but my eyes have been fully opened now and I have been shocked by how much I was mistaken about the way events were actually taking place.

I have binned the Washington Post and The Guardian. I subscribe to Breitbart News and to Blue Lives Matter as these are two of the very few media outlets that present an alternative narrative to progressive media.

Enough with the lies and the bullshit. BLM are racists. LGBT (or whatever) are heterophobes and the feminazis (not 'feminists'!!) are male haters. All this hate coming from these groups and yet try and respond back and you are pilloried. 1st Amendment rights have become a political football whereby only one team can be in possession at a time. The progressives grabbed the football some time ago and refuse to put it back in play.

Who are the real fascists? I'll let you make that call.

Facebook - where minds go to die

When I used to go to pubs or bars, conversations only became enjoyable after about 5 beers. By that point I was happy to talk any old shit and listen to it back too. Everything was funny yet it was mostly all rubbish - football, tit sizes, football, asses, football, Milfs. Going on Facebook for me is like being the only sober person in the pub. Everyone is half cut and there's all sorts of shit flying around that only the drunk me would find enjoyable - which is why I tend to spend more time on Facebook when I'm pissed. Because I am mostly sober, I like to stir the pot by commenting on major stories, or show my frustration and anger when I read articles that really highlight incidents where the participants are evil, lying, hypocrites, and bullies. Shot a giraffe in Africa for fun? I want to put an arrow through your fucking head!

I'm in my sixties now but many things that people do or say still make my blood boil, which I'm sure my heart is really pleased about. Facebook is not the place for rants or articles about life the universe and everything (unless there's unicorns) so I have kind of given up on it. Social Media could be a great medium for sharing ideas, opinions, news etc. but it seems to consist mainly about the kind of stuff you'd chat about in a dentist's waiting room or during 'coffee mornings'.

I know it's me. I have never enjoyed discussing daily bric-a-brac; bores the tits off me. Most people enjoy a good natter, fine. So I find myself a square pin in a round hole with Facebook and so have left it for a while and will concentrate writing blog entries in case anyone's interested in reading them.

Am I a miserable old git? Yes. Do I care? No. What I do care about are the philosophical and scientific questions where answers can be just around the corner or thousands of light years away. Mysteries and the curiosity to explore them are everything to me. I'll name just one thing that as more and more of it is being revealed, more and more does it look like human civilizations are far older than orthodox historians and archaeologists believe. The thing (or rather a place) is Gobekli Tepi. If you have any curiosity about older times then do consider doing some reading on Gobekli Tepi; It has only just begun revealing it's mysteries.

So, Facebook is not for me as I normally wear a bowtie, have my glasses hanging on a cord around my neck, have leather patches on my jacket elbows and say "um" and "ah!" a lot.

Thought for the day, why cats are more advanced than hoomans.

 There are some gifted people out there who are fluent in multiple languages however, most of us struggle to understand people speaking the same language as us (two nations separated by a common language). However, cats are spread throughout the world yet whenever they talk to you or each other, they speak the same language. Any cat can understand any other cat regardless of 'nationality'.

Wars have been started by hoomans because one side misinterpreted the other's word for peace as 'C--t!!'. Cats have never had that problem. "Stay away from my hos or I'll scratch your face off!". "Er.....OK" or "You want some of this you fuck??!!" Either way, matters get cleared up in a few moments.

Hoomans spend too much of the day awake so by the end of the day they're as grumpy as fuck and feel like shit unless some liquid refreshment is taken in which case they feel like shit the next morning. Cat's sleep most of the day and party all night yet never seem to wake up with hangovers or sleep back to back because they've had a shit fit with their SO.

Cat's sex life is simple and straightforward - howl, sniff, get jiggy wid it, the end. Hoomans.....what can you say? It's like playing Russian Roulette with only one chamber empty.

Basically hoomans may be top of the food chain but cats have learned that 'intelligence' makes everything so much more fucking complicated and hence they are far happier and saner than any of us.

What rough beast, its hour come round at last, slouches towards Washington to be born?

If you have wondered why Trumps 'fan base' continues to bray about how great he is despite all evidence to the contrary (he is a crook, he cheats, he believes everyone else is wrong except for him, his ego is so fragile that he launches a nuclear attack on anyone that dares try and pin anything on him. He is slimy, untrustworthy, sociopathic, and has only a (very faint) passing acquaintance with the truth.), it's not really that hard to understand when you look at what motivates and excites them.

When Trump was campaigning, he repeatedly highlighted three things. The USA would build a wall between us and Mexico and the Mexicans would pay for it. ICE would be instructed to identify illegal immigrants who had committed criminal acts and arrange to have them deported. There would be a ban on Muslim immigrants and visitors from certain countries. A fourth thing was repealing Obamacare, which was un-American, socialist and gets taken advantage of by illegals and those too lazy to work.

Obamacare. If the name Obama was attached to it then it was bound to a secret Muslim communist plot to enslave us patriots!!! So the turkeys were quite happy to vote for Thanksgiving although even they will surely wish they hadn't. However, in the great scheme of things, patriotic Americans don't really care much about the repeal of Obamacare because they don't understand what it is or how it benefits them. When Trump stated during his campaign that there would be a new health care scheme that would be beautiful, the best they've every had. No-one said "Bullshit!!", or "How the fuck's that gonna work?". They just went yuk, yuk, yuk, let's MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!! 

So Obamacare lit the fire but what fanned the flames and got that patriotic fervor roaring was Mexicans and Muslims. It was clear to the patriots that Trump didn't care for either of them and beings as Rush, Sean, Mark, and Michael had been telling them that all Mexicans were illegals and murderous scumbags, and that all Muslims want to blow the fuck out of the good old USA, the boys and girls who love God and guns felt that there was at last someone who shared their prejudices and racism and would go to Washington and Make America White Again. It is these people who unquestionably believe that Trump validates their racism and xenophobia and so it does not matter how much of a prick he is, as long as he hates M&Ms he will be their guy.

When you pause and take a step back, then look at what has happened over the last year it just seems incredible. How could it have ever been possible that there could be such an un-presidential, embarrassing asshole sat behind the desk of the Oval Office? He did not get there with just his fan base. The Democrats were so sure that Hillary was a shoe in for Pres that they fielded their backup campaign team who, of course, did their best to fuck things up and did a damn fine job of it. Hubris bit them in the ass and so they have no-one to blame but themselves.

I have no idea what the next few years hold for America but I do know that like watching a guy walking across Niagara Falls on a tightrope, you're not going to be able to look away.

It has been a while but I finally figured that it would make more sense to stop boring the ass off of people on Facebook and direct them here to get their asses bored instead. I do enjoy a good rant and a good moan so I realised it would make more sense to write that stuff here. Anyway, I just posted this on Facebook. It was a reaction to that shit new TV series, The Mist that turned into a long rant. So here it is again - and if you like reading blood red rants then hey, don't be a stranger.

Just when you think that Stephen King adaptations can't come any worse (than The Dome!!), along comes The Mist TV series. Was looking forward to it but jacked it in after about 30 minutes. Here is another series of Peyton Place disguised as a horror series. At least Peyton Place did it with class. This horrible mess is just a bunch of people trying to be right-on and having to fight against an evil even more terrible than what may be in the mist - non-liberals. Spike, which used to be a channel aimed at 18-40 something males has lately decided that it wants to appeal to a female demography too. Hence this pile of steaming dog turds. Everything, fucking everything, has to be politically correct these days which is why if you really want to see modern day movies that don't actually make you feel bad for being male, then those $10 mega-cheap made horror movies will fit the bill just fine. I do not want a fucking message or lecture, I just want to be fucking entertained hence cheap horror movies on Netflix. For culture I read books, for entertainment I watch zombies eating people's nuts.

Truth, Justice and a load of shitheads!!

America, how far we have come. From a group of rebels that drew up a constitution using the ancient Greek system of government aligned with Masonic principles (check it out). A new nation that embraced enlightenment and created a balance whereby no one pillar of government could wield unlimited power - checks and balances. It also very deliberately ensured the separation of church and state, again a radical yet progressive step.

So, from that great beginning, nearly 240 years ago, where are we now? How great has this nation grown and how truly enlightened are we?

Sad to say that the money men, the religious extremists  and the cattle that get all their information from Limbaugh, Hannity and all the rest of them, have almost succeeded in turning this great nation into something rotten, xenophobic, bigoted and racist. Closed minds are rampant and liberals are called 'Progressives' as an insult and yet it is a compliment. The idea of a black Democrat in the Oval Office has driven so many to the brink of madness. So many speak only in cliches because that's all they hear from the talk shows hosts they fervently listen to. These people do not want to be informed, they have no interest in being informed. What they want is to hear is that all their hatred and scorn for things or people that do not conform to their limited perspective is not only valid but patriotic too. There is nothing wrong with being patriotic, pride in your nation is an absolutely positive thing, yet using patriotism to try and justify your hatred and scorn for those that do not walk and talk like you is seen as acceptable, even patriotic! Ignorance is celebrated and intelligence is derided - hark at Palin and her cozy little clique of yap dogs berate Washington DC for having too many intellectuals. This was a great nation that has been continually dragged down by those who would exploit the nation's people for power. money and their face on the cover of Time magazine. These people and those who need help tying their own shoelaces, people like Ted Nugent who claims to be a patriot but is nothing more than a sack of shit who likes killing things, have such a warped view of what America should be that you hesitate to believe they are actually from planet Earth. I know from experience that there are many people in this nation that America should be proud of, people who's kindness and friendship can take your breath away. I know it takes all kinds.........but I wish there fewer haters and more loving people. Perhaps that will come someday.

I love what America once stood for which is why having found that the reality is.......exploitation, first, last and everything is so disappointing to me.

I love this country and I am so proud to be here but am genuinely shocked by the hatred and ignorance that, thanks to the internet, appears so prevalent.

Let's hope that common sense and decency will prevail and this nation can hold its head up once again.
